Maria SaveryÂ
“Students in my classes are trained using a healthy technique. You could describe my ballet teaching as Pilates ballet. We do not force or twist the bones; instead, we let the muscles guide the skeleton. In this way, we gain complete control over our bodies, enabling us to master our pirouettes, our adagio (slow) movements, and to move exactly as we wish in allegro (fast) dances, jump high, and, last but not least, have the energy and freedom to focus on artistic expression on stage.
Even point work is tailored to each student’s individual level, building strength in the feet and developing an understanding of balance.
The atmosphere is positive, with authentic feedback at all times.
Music for my classes has a high priority, and is carefully chosen, always of the highest quality, to lift the dancers level of energy, and to suit the exercises in the most beneficial way.Â
My goal is for students to take home as much learning as possible every time they attend a class, and for them to leave feeling uplifted and inspired.”
